For
the last ten years THE NATIONAL WELL MEN PROGRAM has provided a unique
approach to male health care in Australia. The Program offered men an
individualized, in depth holistic approach to health care. In
particular the important aspect of assessment and management of hormonal
balance for men which is not generally available
elsewhere. This has now developed into a COMPLETE HEALTH PROGRAM which
takes into account the psychological and emotional aspects of health
care as well as the physical.

For
many the results have been life restoring.
One of the reasons for
the
high rate of success has been the creation of
the specialised
Well Men & Women Too
Centre in Perth and Day Clinics around
the country.
The
doctors
practising
at these
Centres and Clinics are senior GPs who have chosen to develop their
expertise in this area of modern medicine. Collectively they probably
now have the most comprehensive experience on the male health/hormones
aspect available world-wide. Men travelling great distances to benefit
from this unique service commonly agree that it was well worth the
effort.
Well Men & Women Too
The addition of
WOMEN TOO CLINICS
was prompted by the partners of men on the Well Men Program.
Appreciating the often life transforming benefits of the Well Men
approach they requested that a medical service be provided for them too.
There was
clearly a need for women
to also receive special attention with regard to their health,
particularly in the light of all the recent conflicting advice regarding
HRT and breast cancer.
WOMEN TOO CLINICS
were added
last year to
meet this need. WOMEN TOO CLINICS provide the same level of awareness and expertise for
women's health issues as The Well Men Program does for men.
The Time For Men Campaign
Since
1997, the TIME FOR MEN CAMPAIGN has championed
this cause through the creation and
ongoing financial support of the Well Men
Centre and Day Clinics; through an ongoing
campaign in the media; through the courts -
fighting for a better
deal for men under the PBS; through
the provision of information
and through the organisation of educational
events for both public and
doctors.

The focus and ongoing intention
of the TIME FOR MEN
CAMPAIGN has been to encourage a
cultural shift in thinking that will result
in happier,
healthier men and the positive
flow-on this will have on their families,
their work, their workplaces and the community.
