Q: How can I find out if I might benefit from HRT Treatment?

A: Fill in the hormonal checklist to evaluate your symptoms. If you have a number of the symptoms shown to a moderate degree, then this would indicate that it is worth investigating your hormonal status. The best way to have this properly checked is to make an appointment to see a doctor experienced in the application of HRT for men at the Well Men Centre in Perth or at one of our special one day clinics that are arranged from time to time in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide.

Q: Do I need a letter of referral from my doctor?

A: No. Many GPs are beginning to take an

interest in HRT for men and your own doctor

    Q: What are the benefits?

    A: Benefits commonly reported are:

      Raised energy levels
Feeling of well being and increased interest in life
Return of sexual interest and function
      Loss of aches and pains
      Greater stamina and physical flexibility
      Improved concentration and mental clarity
Better ability to cope with pressure or crisis
      More cheerful
Faster healing of cuts and wounds
      Hair going darker again
General feeling of being younger again
      Lower golf handicap!

may well be very supportive of your

participation in the HRT program, as it is

new to Australia and not part of traditional

doctor training. Other GPs can be sceptical.

A growing number of GPs are now referring

     their patients to the Centres.

Please Note: You do NOT need to get a

letter of referral from your doctor to make

    an appointment.

    Q: Is the treatment safe?

A: HRT is a powerful medication and should

only be prescribed in the context of a high

calibre health program. HRT does not cause

the onset of prostate cancer but it should not

be given to men with existing prostate cancer.

Provided it is administered with expertise,

HRT is beneficial for the heart and cardiovascular

system and general well being. There are no

    known serious side effects.

    Q: What will it Cost?

A: Go to MAKE AN APPOINTMENT for details of appointments and costs.
